Trans Day of Remembrance

Today is Trans Day of Remembrance. We invite you to light a candle with us to honor the 320 trans people who were killed between October 1st 2023 and September 30th 2023 worldwide. We invite you to read through this list and say their names. https://www.glaad.org/blog/tdor-memoriam

We encourage you to sit with your emotions, whatever they are: sadness, grief, anger, rage. Instead of ignoring this violence, we must try to fuel our emotions into action. Acceptance of trans people is merely the first step; ask yourself what you personally can do to make your communities (both large and small) safe for trans people.

Many of the trans people killed were people in sex work. Your allyship is empty if you don't support sex work decriminalization.
